• Annual Maintenance (Form 2) 2023 starting with Zephyrus

Our new Airworthiness Officer, Noel Vagg, has set a program to have all of our gliders done this year before they are due so we can go into the gliding season with everything ready.

This week, starting Sunday May 7, Peter Buskens is leading the team for Zephyrus which will be the only glider in 2023 that is late. Many members will be assisting Peter, including Messrs. Champness, Vagg, Adam, Benton, Hocking and Cleland.

All the others are now planned to be ready as required:

The Twin, IKM will also be done in May with Chris Thorpe the Team Leader. The Cirrus, GON, (Team Leader Peter Champness), the single Astir, IKT (Team Leader Chris Thorpe) and the Janus, IZI (Team Leader Mal Crampton) will have their Form 2’s starting in Mid-September and finishing late October. Members will also be required to assist.

Phil Organ will be coming to Bacchus Marsh later in May to give a presentation on how to manage Form 2’s for our Form 2 inspectors and other interested members. Noel will provide the timing and details shortly.
